I had a girl that looked a lot like that a few years ago, and I really regret selling her. I love my normal hets, for their looks, more than a lot of my corn morphs

No one in the world ever gets what they want, and that is beautiful. Everybody dies frustrated and sad, and that is beautiful.

I still hate the term "normal" for them.
There is nothing normal about them.
Maybe we should call the naturals??

Hi guys, I'm a new "lurker." I never really understood corns before, and didn't have any interest in them. But I decided to give them a try and bought a pair. I put them in my racks (I already have 11 ball pythons) and stare at them every day. One thing I think about, though, is how misleading the term "normal" is...I think that if I am able to turn this hobby into a business, which I hope to do slowly over time, I would call my "normals", instead of that term, "perfects". I think of the term "perfect" to represent the typical wild-type pheno of the species. Obviously, it would be a very broad term. I'm starting to notice some of the cool little things about my pair that make them "unique", and I think "normal" detracts from that. It's like saying they are "boring", which I certainly would never say about these beautiful creatures! I think "perfect corn" has a cool ring to it. What do you think?

This is from Kathy's site.

"CLASSIC " CORN SNAKES These are essentially the same as the above-described Okeetee corns, including having the heavy influence of Okeetee bloodlines. The only difference is that I also have crossed in other non-Okeetee corns (such as bloodreds & my beautiful 'Naples' line) when they displayed some particularly attractive trait that I thought might enhance the overall classically gorgeous look of 'normal' corns. I make this almost non-existent distinction because some people still ask for pure Okeetees traceable back to animals from southern South Carolina. I price them the same as Okeetees; the price variation is based on the looks and expected adult beauty of individuals. Sometimes these end up looking even prettier than my 'pure' Okeetee bloodlines

So, although it is an excellent name, it is Kathy's name for her line.

I know it will never happen but I would still love to see them referred to as something other then normal, with my suggestion being "naturals".

I love everyones pics of their normal corns. If I could only have one, it would be a normal.
Brian, I've always admired your Kentucky locality corn. Not only is he awesome to look at, but I love seeing locality specific corns, especially from Kentucky and the interesting fact on how the Ky. population of corns are broken down into two isolated areas of the state.

A pic of a Cumberland county, NC WC male found on 23 Sept 04. My 3.5ft Okeetee corn isn't much brighter than this handsome fellow. . .
