Carrick used to nibble on his pellets a lot, but today, hes munchin them down all crazy like on his own, i really want him to be eating a diet mostly consisting of greens and pellets at this point, hes a bit heavy and think this will be good for him, of course he will still get his silks and butters here and there.. hes a good bug..Gobi on the other hand does eat her pellets but she keeps a slender waistline, thinks shes a supermodel perhaps, anyways, she still gets her buggies everyday. we also bought carrick a brand new basking log which is huge, he can climb on it, or hide in it, its a great log. We expect he will brumate this winter so this is perfect for him, as well there are little peek holes in the sides so we will be able to spy in on him when he is napping =) so not big news maybe,, but its news =P

i picked it up at LLLreptile today for 13 dollars (which i think is a great buy, wood is sooo expensive), its huge and just perfect for him to hang his fat belly over you can go to LLLreptile.com and see if you can find something there...where are you located?

Thanks for the info., Reiko. We are located in Lexington, North Carolina. I currently have river rocks under their basking lights and poly-resin logs (from PetSmart) for them to climb on to get under their uvb lights. However, I just added 6 new cages to my already crowded cage space. Those cages don't have any logs (but already have river rocks) and I was looking for something different to maybe change out with some of the other cages which house the bigger dragons. I can log on to LLLReptile to see what they have. Once again, Thanks, Teresa.
