Appropiate meal size

miki00 Oct 20, 2004 08:43 PM

What would be an appropiate meal type or size for a BRB which is 22 inches? I've been feeding him mice and an ocasional rat pinky, but both seem to be a snak for it.

Pip is just under four feet long and has been eating large mice.

I decided after the first week of having her (I got her when she was 15 inches long) that pinkies were too small so she was put on rat pups and mouse hoppers till a couple of months ago.

I'm pretty sure she'd eat everyday if I let her. She's ravenous, even while in shed.

Today she received a very pregnant mouse. I probably should have let the mouse give birth so I could give the dragons a nice snack, but I have nowhere to put a pregnant mouse but inside my snake.

Mouse sizes vary, but I would be feeding a small adult to that size snake. If the "lump" is gone in 24 hours it could likely take a larger mouse.
