Keith, your collection and photos are world class and much appreciated...
I have a great collection of Scarlet Kings 2.4 adults and 0.0.5 CBB newborns.
I produced 21 babies this year and let 16 go on my property hoping to recatch at a later date. The five remaining are the best feeders...all were quite small, like 4-5.5 inches at birth but all will eat live ground skinks. Most will eat anything small enough that is HEAVILY scented with skink...I use mouse tails, anole tails, pinky parts, and even raw chicken strips scented with skink as well as skinks if available. One baby is 4 months old and took its second F/T pink scented greedily...I found that using a tiny scissor to cut off the front legs of the pinks helps with the first few pinky meals....Scarlet Kings were really designed to eat only skinks and small snakes and their eggs but all of my adults will eat F/t pinks or small fuzzies, although at times some need scenting with anoles or skinks. They are so beautiful, and best of all, all their poop doesnt equal one of your Easterns (LOL)..unfortunately my wife wants me to get rid of the scarlet kings and focus exclusively on my ETB collection...she only likes ETBs (but she loved the photos of your thin white banded Eastern Kings.......Norm
