How much did Daytona raise for Orinoco crocs?

There was a very weak article in a local newspaper about exotic pets and belonging in the zoo. This was due to an escaped large cat that has parents fearfull for their children. It had no support and was a very unqualified opinion. I am writting a response to that article. I plan to include what positive impacts of herp keeping and money put toward conservation. If anyone knows some if these stats please respond. While venomous was not targeted in the article, large snakes were and I plan to defend responsible keeping of both in the article. This is why I am posting in here. I think this forum has some of the most qualified opinions and is in the most danger of losing rights right now so I figured my best chance at responses would come in here over ball pythons. Anything would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

please repond to this...this involves a bunch of college students reading this 9this is a paper in bloomington/normal and is a large percentage of students who are young and not stuck in their ways yet lol) and their opinions are easy to grab..all we have to do is offer a more supported article. I just need some nice stats.
