i read that you should take ur leopard gecko out and clean the cage atleast once a week with a bleach solution. is this really necesarry if i pick up his poop everyday and change his water everyday... how long do you guys go without cleaning your cage? can it be harmful to my leo if i dont clean the cage every week???

I try to clean mine at least once a week for all my animals.
You pick up the poop but unless your catching it as it falls, the bacteria and stuff gets on the tile, sand, towel, or whatever your using. It can be harmful in the long run, because the bacteria builds up and he can't escape it.
I can actually clean them more than once a week now,because I have gone full time at work, and am working 1 or 2 days a week instead of 6 when I was part time (Yes, you read that right).

Another thing I forgot to mention is bleach is good cleaner, just rinse it well (you probably knew that). Ammonia works good too for killing some of the stuff bleach doesn't, also rinse well. If you use both, rinse well between them and let them dry before using the other.
Do NOT mix bleach and ammonia though, see my signature for details

That is what wonders me. I worked MTTFS and sometimes I'd even get an extra day part time. I would work and average of 65-70 hrs a week part time.
Well, I bid on the full time job and boss told me I got it, just had to do an interview. Now I can barely get 20-25 hrs a week, and I got 5 so far this week.
Well, I bid on a union job yesterday though that is still within the company. It pays hourly and I get paid by the mile as well. I should make twice as much an hour I figure. This is geting way off topic. LOL

well they ahve this really neat terranium cleaner, it has a pic of a uromastyx on it, any how, i just occasionly spray that and just wipe.

I clean all mine once a week. In fact every wednesday..lol. I take everything out and wipe down the tile and change the water etc.
