lil_frogger2 Oct 20, 2004 11:44 PM

I bought a female chameleon over the summer. Well...tonight i went to feed her, and i see something in her cricket cup..that isnt a cricket...it's a baby chameleon. After looking through the plants, I found 12 of them! I'm nto prepared for this! Does anyone know where a good site is for info for raising baby chamis or do any of you have any advice abotu temps, maybe tips, thanks. I got the feeding down so i'm goign out tomorrow to get stuff for them. Thanks for all your help in advance!!! Oh..i couldnt tell u what kind she is, i have iot somewhere...it's not a common one like veiled, but I think they're a lot like veilds once i learned how to take care of her and stuff i didnt really need the name..it's not easy to rememebr, lol.

Here are a couple articles. Click the names to go to them:
A Hatchling's First Weeks
Caging for Baby Chameleons
Feeding Baby Chameleons

A species would help for specific info.

Wow! What a suprise! I'm guessing this must be a live bearing chameleon, something like Bradypodian, or Jackson's?

Thanks everyone. I'm gonna try to get some pics of the babies and the mother, see if any of you could help me. I'll post it in a new thread too. The babies are doing great. I got some pinheads and flies. They've been eatin the crickets and I'll give them some fruitflies tongiht because some didnt eat, I think it's because of stress though. They all look healthy though, moving around and strong. Cute Little things, lol.

not sure if anyone directed you to these sites (no time to read all posts, sorry if being redundant) along with the ones Chris directed you to.

check out these baby photos - they may help in identification obviously only live bearers in your case.
