Puffy areas behind front legs?

calgecko Oct 21, 2004 02:42 AM

I have 3 adult leos, 2 are 'sisters', the other is from a completely different bloodline.. all 3 are females, and all are about 3 years old. They're each right around 60-63 grams, so they're good size.

One of the 2 "sisters" has a 'puffy' spot right behind each of her front legs.. I noticed it tonight when I pulled them out to clean their cage. the other two leos do NOT have this puffiness. I've never noticed it before, and have had these leos for over 2 years now.

Any ideas? Is this normal?

Fatty tissue behind the front legs is fine epecially if you are breeding them..... It is extra fat storage..... Kinda like what you get in their tails..... Just make sure your leos are not overweight....

It's common to see that in healthy Leopard Geckos, it's a sign of being well-fed. No need to worry.
