Crickets OR Silkworms.............

AnnoyingGuy12 Oct 21, 2004 09:13 AM

I have been breeding some crickets for like a month now and they stink and are too loud. I was wondering if my frogs (wtf, and pacman) could eat silkworms instead. Alot of people have said that they are cleaner and alot easier to maintain. I was also going to breed them. Should i stick to crickets or silkworms? And either way ill do the better thing for my frogs.
Also any tips on caring for silkworms wud help me alot.

I'm pretty sure certain worms are a little too fatty! Mealworms are a great choice, except the shell is sometimes difficult to digest. I'm not sure whether it is silk or waxworms that are fatty. You may want to read up on whether or not they can be used as a staple diet.

Waxworms are the fatty ones. Silkies are not - they are great staple insect feeders. Better than most others.
