HELP HELP HELP I see blood on my female jackson

hobowire Jun 28, 2003 11:13 PM

There's streaks of blood and open wounds on my female chameleon body and on her throat. The streaks of blood and wounds on her throat are very visible when she drinks something.

I'm thinking it could be that the male jackson that cause the streaks or she got dehyrated. But i have doubt that the male cause the wounds.

I got the chameleon 3 days ago and the male seem to be doing great but the female isn't doing so well. What should I do???

i need advice and guidence

best if send me an email at hobowire@aol.com
but i will check for follow ups on this post

Blood or no blood, you've got a problem housing them together. Even if it means putting her in an enclosed aquarium or whatever for now, she has to get away from the male. He could be the cause of the problem. If he isn't the direct cause, he had something to do with it...

After you seperate them let us know your cage set-up, diet, disposition, health, etc. of both chams.

as a rule of thumb - NEVER house chams together ... some people do, and are fine with it, like my frien houses 3 ale veiled togegether without a problem, they have been together since birth ... but in your case you have a problem, so therefore they should be be in the same cage!
