plants?

kingofspades Oct 21, 2004 01:24 PM

i was going to buy a jade or something to put in the tank. right now it's so plain. reptile bark, a "mouse log" (a log with holes in it)
and a water dish, that doubles as a hide. she hides under it all the time, and i never see her come out.
i have to go in and get her if i want to see her.

would plants and stuff entice her to come out more?

snakes are secretive creatures that prefer to hide then be out in the open. how old is your snake? babies tend to hide 24/7. it's a big world out there and they are so small. i have several hides in with all my snakes and a couple fake plants. when my corns got older...like yearlings, they did (and still do) come out more often. mostly at dusk/night.
I have a milk snake that hides 24/7, no matter what i have in with him. i'm not sure on live plants for snakes. i know some plants are toxic to cats/dogs if they eat them but don't know about snakes.
