Can anyone tell me what bug stop is and who manufactures it ????

sgg12899 Oct 21, 2004 02:23 PM

I know that Bug stop is an off the shelf product that is used for another application. It is supposedly a teflon based product. I wanted to know what exactly it is, what application it is used for other than preventing roaches from escaping, and who manufactures it. I would like to purchase it in larger Quantities than the roach breeders are offering.
Thanks Gordon

It's like Vaseline. When I bred roaches I put some all around the top of the container and it works the same as bug stop.

Bugstop is basically liquid teflon.. paint a wide enough strip of it around the top edge of an enclosure and climbing roaches etc can't climb it...

BugStop is an aqueous based teflon (PTFE). It goes by many names. Go to BioQuip Products at http://www.bioquip.com/ and search for insect-a-slip. Beware.........it is not cheap!
