introducing leos,? about threat display

waldo Oct 21, 2004 04:13 PM

I set up a 30 gallon long tank today and introduced my two females in it. So far they are doing ok,I'm watching them real close in case there is any problems.Do leos have a threat display, any kind of behavior to watch for or will they just start to fight? Do the make any noise if hurt? I would like to keep them together but will . Alsobe happy to seperate them if need be.I'm going to keep the 15 gallon set up for a few days in case of a problem. Also, should I use two feed dishes now? I wouldn't want there to be a problem with their food. Thanks for any advice. And yes they are about the same size

sometimes like mine for instance i back off when she gets pissed off, she likes to get low to the ground and sway her tail up in the air like a cat... she did it last night when my best friend came over, she can be a biotch sometimes. anyways usually it's only the males that give off a terroritorial sign by wiggling there tails it's how they tell sex apart one wiggles females ignore then the male is like oh time for sex but thats just me babbling but the two females should be fine keep watching them, also make sure there not fighting for food in a 30 gallon i hope ur not over crowding them but good luck!

You're going to have a tough time monitoring threat displays unless you want to be looking at the cage 24/7

Check for scarring signs of fights, and i dont know what method of feeding you use but monitor that carefully so one isn't getting less than the other.
That's all i can think of
Good luck
