Any advice at all is helpful

I havn't even had Yoshi, my gecko, for a month now. So far he seems very healthy and has taken in his new home very well. He is still just a juvi. I recently experience his first shed. At first I was scared by his cloudy color but I then realized what was happening. I have read many books about him and looked at numerous web-sites. I was just wondering if anybody has any specific advice, on things that have worked for them. My main concern are: 1.)How much do you feed them? (Yoshi eats very well, I'm just curious as to others.) 2.)Yoshi shakes his tail like a rattlesnake right before he is about to catch a cricket. Is this normal or is this just one of his personal traits. Thanks alot.

Hey being a first time owner can be nerve racking however that only shows that you care about your animals.

Usually people feed their young ones as much as they can eat and judge it from there.
I feed my 9mon old 10 appropriately sized mealies every other day-he just won't eat every day.
My older female is getting too fat so she only gets 5-7 every other day.
The tail wagging is a sign of excitement, mine have lost it with age.
good luck

you my dear, your diagnosis is pessimism:
(word of the day for some of u ppl)
"A tendency to stress the negative or unfavorable or to take the gloomiest possible view."
In the words of my friend who was about to swim in a public pool naked... "Just chill dude like a fly on the back of a hippo."

New owners tend to over worry about EVERYTHING just let things go by and stop stressing over small things! u'll be absolutely fine!
