my little beardie is in her first shed with me. i take it that she is growing! should you soak more often during a shed? she is still eating well and active! just don't know if there is something that i should be doing "extra" for her.

Sure, an extra bath is always a nice thing to do. It will help with the shed also.

i agree w/ sean. an extra bath is always nice. but you can also mist s/he with room temperate purified water about 2-3 times a day.

how often do they shed? mine shed the second week i had her and now she has grown about 5 inches since then without sheding again. not sure if thats normal or not. lol

i have 3 little dragons, and they all seem to shed at different rates. i guess it depends on how fast they're growing. The largest of the 3 seems to shed more often than the other 2. He sheds at least once every two weeks, but its not always a full body shed. sometimes he just sheds his tail, or his belly, or his back. again, i guess it just depends on how fast they're growing. as they get older, their shedding should decrease. My dragons are about 3.5 - 4 months old.

5" without shedding??? I don't think so. Maybe he's eating them before you notice but there's no way he'd grow that much without shedding.

i know i was thinking the same thing but i never even see a hint that she is sheding. and she has grown 5 inches. i am not use to this kind of growth in a reptile without shedding. All my snakes shead almost like clockwork but my dragon has no pattern to it. But the one funny thing is that after i posted that last night and i woke up today my dragon is shedding her back legs. lol
