Shaking/trembling of front "hands" of RES

doper69 Oct 22, 2004 12:28 AM

Hey all,

need some help/advice. When my RES puts forth his front limbs to swim forward sometimes his "hands" convulse/tremble. Doesn't look quite right. Was wondering if this is normal or something is wrong with it. Please please advise. Thanks!!!

That is a mating ritual. He/She is trying to mate with a tank mate or if there is no tank mate, then they are "flirting" with something else lol. My turtle "flirts" with this one tiger eye rock in his tank. It's really funny. He also attacks his reflection in the bottom of the tank sometimes. He thinks he has competition lol.

You have got to kidding me!? HAHAHAHA!!! ...and here the whole time I thought he had some sort of nuerological problem! Unfortunately, his tank buddy is a Map Turtle species. Thanks for the info.! I'm relieved.
