feeding requirements

what is an ample amount of food to feed hatchling wood turtles per week. For instance a couple mealworms every other day, just curious how often and how much people are feeding their hatchlings.

Hatchlings should be eating every day. A rule of thumb is how much your turtle can consume in a five minute period. Most will eat beyond this point but you do not want to overfeed. Once they begin growing, daily feeding is not necessary.

Mealworms are rather low in nutrients and I rarely use them. I would suggest turtle pellets as the main diet and mix in other food items on occasion for variety, such as small crickets, earthworms, and even wax worms. All are a more nutritous than the meal worms.
