Here are some pix of my Abbott line Okeetees from Don Soderberg, and one of the scorcher Okeetees from Jim Merli. After loading the images, I find that they don't do justice to the vital colors of these babies--cheap scanner, I guess.
Anyway, one of the Abbott line babies is really vivid, not that it shows here, but it's quite red, and the signature black borders are already evident.

Another of the Abbott babies is very light. Never know how a baby corn will turn out, but I can't wait to see how these two color up.

Both of those are already showing good color along the spine, and I expect will be gorgeous adults.
If you recall, Jim Merli bred some stunning adults this year, and still has some babies available on the classifieds, I think, although they will probably go fast. Here's a review of the parents.

Jim was nice enough to let me use his photo of those.
All the babies I got from him are to die for, but one in particular is extra extra red for such a young snake. I have never seen a head so red on a hatchling before. The image is not as intense as I had hoped, but the snake's whole head is bright red, and the body is full of color. This snake is less than three months old. Should be interesting. Thanks, Jim!
