carpet/green tree hybrid

viperbitex Oct 22, 2004 08:18 PM

I have some questions about crossing a carpet python with a green tree python. I don't know the spelling (carpanja?) but it has been done succesfully before. What kind of temperment do they have?? Both specise of python are known for having tempers, but you can tame down a carpet with handeling, but green trees can get mega stressed out when you handle them. Would a carpanja be the same? Also does anyone have any picks??

The carpondros I've seen have all been nasty, but I'm sure individuals will vary. They have also recently been proven a sterile hybrid in a local collection containing several adults here in MD. But I'm sure we'll hear more about this aspect later on as more folks are working with them. I'm not a big fan of carpondros (or any hybrid) but I do admit they have a certain beauty all their own.
