Yes, you can keep them in one tank...many do.

Yes, they are sometimes cannibalistic...few are, but it happens.

The best way to keep them, for a whole host of reasons, is separated from one another.

If you do (and it's not a great idea, really) make sure you take them out, one at a time, to feed. What you don't EVER want to do is toss food into a tank with two snakes and walk away. Duffy

Not a good practice to do, but it is done. there is a list of potential problems 2 miles long on why you shouldn't house them together.

The most common thing I see is "does my snake want a friend?" No. Your snake wants a friend no more than it wants that playboy pinup girl calander hanging in its tank.

If one snake gets sick, the odds are overwhelmingly high that the other will get sick as well. double the vet bills.

as youngins cannibilism is higher than youd think.

you HAVE to feed them in seperate tanks. or they may fight over the same mouse and end up eating each other...which would most likely end up in the death of both of them.

Snakes by nature are shy solitary animals, forcing them to be confined together creates stress. And stress leads to many health issues, such as feeding problems and regurgitation.

Yes they will eventually mate the problem is males are sexually mature before females are, and the results often lead to egg binding and death,or a reduced life span.

This is just those that I can think of at the moment. The advantages are none that I can think of.

Your choice though. It has been done successfully. I just wouldnt do it.
