He probably needs antibiotics. Make sure the vet has experience with chameleons.
What kind of chameleon is he?
I do not like leaving too many crickets in the cage with my chams and I prefer cup feeding them.(provide crickets in a glass bowl or cup that the cham can get them from without them escaping all over the cage)
If you do leave crickets in there always provide some fish food flakes or something similar for the crickets to nibble on so they will not attack the cham. Especially one that is not in good health or injured.
Also I do not know what kind of shape he is in but it is very stressful for a cham not to have something to climb on can you provide him with something low so if he falls he won't get hurt. Crickets like to be on the ground and he probably did not have something to climb on to get away from them as he slept.
Crickets are nocturnal so I would remove them completely at night when they do most of their damage.
Also silkworms might be a better choice than crickets right now. They are loaded with calcium when you gut load them with mulberry leaves and they do not bite.

Get him to a vet and NEVER leave loose crix in a cage overnight or with a cham who is not well or moving around normally. Sounds like your cham has serious deficiency problems for legs to break. Fractures can heal, but if his food is not gutloaded and dusted correctly and he isn't exposed to the proper lighting it won't heal.

Thank you all kindly, for your help*
I took Murphy to the vets, and they put iodine solution on his foot wound,I give him an oral antibiotic for 5 days. Vet said he will heal, and he must have fell and fractured his legs bad. I have been dusting his crix with Nutrobal, calci, vit&min powder, since I got him, I now also dust with calcimax, a high vit D3&calcium suppliment.Ive been dusting large flies for him in those powders instead, as he LOVES flies!. He has a UV light & normal one,& only one plastic decoration to climb on, until he heals, Ive been told it may take months!. I hope to god he heals, hes my baby.

What actual brand of UV light do you have? I am really suspicious that he's not metabolizing all the calcium you have been giving him. It is unusual for chams to break legs unless they were in a bizarre accident. Most bulbs that say they produce UVB don't emit much at all. A fischeri won't like the higher heat of the intense Active UVHeat or Dragonlights, but a brand new Reptisun 5.0 changed every 6 months should do well. He must get as close as 18" to the bulb to get the benefit. Be sure to change the bulb every 6 months, as the UV it emits goes down after that. Also, get him outdoors when the weather is OK. It will really help, as there is no substitute for real sunlight. You could get a small bird cage to let him bask in safety.

Thank you for your advice, Murphy is on a UVB bulb for reptiles, I have heard of the UVB bulb Reptisun, but can not find it, but we do have the nearest to it, I do all I can to make everything right for my Cham, I do not know what his condition was before he was in the pet shop, I just know,I am doing all I can right with him, so far!.
Yes I do take him out in the sunshine, when we can get it!!!,he seems to like it, & I find he goes greener afterwards, he is green the now, so I know he is quite content* All I can do, is pray that he gets better.
Thanks again*
