Hi! =) I'm usually at the Collareds forum, but >

I thought I'd come over here to ask a question. Hope you don't mind.

My Cuban Tree Frog, "Froggy", passed away on the second. He was hydrated. The tank was clean. He wasn't ill. He ate plenty. I caught him in the wild, and he was already sexually mature, meaning he was at the very least one year old. I only had him a little over a year... When I found him, he was in his sleeping position, eyes sunk in the normal amount and everything. But he was stiff. =/

So my question is, do you think it may have been a bacteria that killed Froggy? Or was he older than I thought? He seemed to have died in his sleep. His companion Beady, who I know for a fact is only a year old, is fine. He hasn't caught any sort of infection and has remained healthy since Froggy's passing.

I guess I'm just trying to find closure.

Sorry to hear thebad news.
Just shots in the dark but,
males don't live as long as females,
how big was their enclosure, maybe their poisons killed him like what can happen toa toad?

They had a 10 gallon tank, plenty of hiding places, branches to climb, water, and they were misted everday.

That could be it, but I dunno. =/
