This pic looks like a dragon can sit on the waterfall, and lead/redirect water all over your tank... perhaps this isnt the case.

though, if it is the case.. its only a matter of time before the water has been pumped completely out of the pond.

i think you need more plants. your tank looks big enough for some cane or bamboo.

maybe some water/wetland plants- you have enough current in your tank, and theyll help clean the water, too.
