Now ive heard that it is better for ur dragons to brumate. Now my oldest male dose it with out me doing anything. At what age do most bearded dragons brumate? Do they always do it themseleve or do i cool them down? How do i cool them?

Now ive heard that it is better for ur dragons to brumate. Now my oldest male dose it with out me doing anything. At what age do most bearded dragons brumate? Do they always do it themseleve or do i cool them down? How do i cool them?
beardies do it whenever they want to for the most part. If you are completely sure your dragon is brumating, just decrease amount of daylight about half hour ever week till you have 10 hours daylight. Don't feed your dragon when he is not active. IF he wakes up and is up basking, you can give them some greens but not alot, as they sometimes wake up for a few hours and go back to sleep. After 2-4 months you can start increase amount of light by half hour each week till you are back to 14 hours of light.
Daytime temperatures while he brumates can be around 70-75F with nighttime between 65F-70F.
