A year ago I bought an ornate boxie from a breeder in Florida (I'm in west/central Michigan). She is now 4 years old. I didn't hibernate her last year. This year I had her all set up to hibernate in a basement bedroom that used to be our daughter's.
Monkey wrench: Our daughter suddenly decided to move home again! I am sure she will want the room to be warmer the the temp required for hibernation. Now what do I do?
Can an ornate hibernate outside in Michigan?
Can it hibernate in an attached garage? (The temp does occasionally get below freezing. Our dog does fine there however.)
Can I just skip the hibernation again this year? (This is the direction in which I am leaning.)
Any other suggestions?
Thanks all!
