I didn't quite get the response I was hoping for in an earlier post, so I'll ask again. How many females do you currently breed, and approximately how many babies do you produce yearly?

god thats going to be a tough one for them to answer. i am sure some of the breeders produce hundreds of babies. possibly around a 1000 a year. Go to Dachiu.com i think they might have a link of there breeding room and feeding room and somewhere in there i think it says how many adults and offspring they have each year.
Ya that's pretty much an impossible one to answer. It depends on soooo many variables - how many times she refertilizes, whether you do 1 or 2 breeding cycles on her in a year, how large she is and how many eggs she lays, how many are fertile, etc. As far as what I've done this year, and the years not over, with the slow season that beardies have had I took it pretty easy. I've bred 5 females and produced about 700 babies so far. I could have easily done several times that but with the market where it is right now it just wasn't worth it.

Thank you for responding. I currently have 18 females for next year. I'm not really sure that I could handle all the babies. I bred a few this year, but only bred them once. Most of them are in brumation already. As for all the babies, I don't mind all the work involved, but I know that there's only so many hours in a day. I've made lots of room for future offspring, due to my thinning process, but I once again don't want to overdo it.(I'm bad for doing that.)

I think timing is the key to everything, I certainly wouldn't breed all 18 at once. Maybe split the year up into quarters or thirds and cycle through your girls according to that. You may have some overlap and if that happens you might want to hold off before starting your next cycle.
