Yes they do exist. In fact, there were some ads posted recently on the classifieds selling captive born babies. I can't completely understand your doubt here; are the babies you bought not albino? It should be very easy to tell.

If you were GIVEN heterozygous (carrying the amelanistic gene) snakes then consider yourself very lucky. Now you just need to raise them up right, breed them to each other, and you'll produce some amelanistic (aka albino) Florida Watersnakes.

Indeed they are real. As a matter of fact I have one. Just got him yestarday. He is the first in my albino water snake project. Although they are t albinos. They aren't the white an yellow albinos they are like the purple yellow albino retics. I have yet to see a pic that shows them in all there brilliance. Their colors and patterns are so vivd almost glowing like a tiger. moroon with firey orange red stripes. I have pics of mine. I'd be happy to share with anyone. Just email me. I don't have any posted on the web. This guy is the founder of some amazing things to come in the watersnake field. If you decide to get rid of your babies please let me know as I may be interested. How many do you have? Any pics of the mom?
