blood python mood swings?

Daphne's usually a very docile snake but lately, she's been acting kind of odd...I took her out the other day and she bit me...it's strange that she even got upset enough to try to bite me. A little while ago, I went to get her out, and she coiled up and got in her little defensive pose and she would have bitten me if I had bugged her any more but I decided it was best to let her be...
Her ornery behavior has really only picked up within the past week...could it have something to do with the weather and the change in season?

any insights?

thanks people
