That's what I think it is! But still very nice! I'll take him if you don't want him! No offense of course!

I see you're not out of pinkies and hear that you'll never ever ever ever run out of pinkies. . . . Well, good for you!!!
But honestly, John, I was just having some fun. . .You DO have some very nice animals as you know. Breed them ASAP, so I can get some of the babies from you. Your taste in (King) snakes is similar to mine: Goinis' Reds' wide bands' oranges, etc.
I wish you much luck with the animals, and don't forget me when you have your first clutch!

I am an expert at everything, but I know so little and have so much to learn!

looks to be blotched and eastern, maybe its me but it looks to be more l.g.g. not what i would consider a blotched anyway, do you know or have any info locality, parents, etc? regardless very nice

Looking at the narrow cross-overs no doubt that snake appears to have eastern blood but then Perlowin's book says goini are eastern-X-floridana. My 1.1 blotched goini were not the pick of the clutch however they were sold to me by a very respected dealer/breeder as pure goini. I will call this breeder and confirm what I remember about these snakes. Your opinions/comments are always welcome -John

I talked with Mike at Isis reptiles this morning and he agrees with my memory. My 1.1 Blotched"goini" are 100% pure goini that were produced from parents that Mike personaly bought from Lloyd Lemke one year before Lloyd's passing. -John

very interesting.

JETZEN Oct 25, 2004 04:58 PM

What do you find interesting?

Brandon Osborne Oct 25, 2004 06:46 PM

That these animals are Lemke stock and are questioned by several as being integrades vs. pure blotched. That's all. Maybe Lloyd was secretly crossing different ssp.? I doubt it, but it's definately a possibility.

well thats cool john and again its just my opinion that the animal pictured is heavily influenced by l.g.g.,,having not worked with l.g.goini,or meansi,or apalachicola, blotched, etc i am not real familiar with them as far as growth rates, head shape, ontogenetic pattern changes, etc, etc, but its an awsome snake none the less, and obviously according to its heritage is indeed a goini, definately like to see it as an adult
