do they grow back at all?or jus stay as small and stumpy as ever? i ask this as someone is wanting to sell me a BTS where most of its tail has gone,should i buy?

It will grow back, but like with most lizards it will not be as nice. There are factors that will have an effect on the end result. The age of the skink, where the break is, how often he was fed, as well as the temp that he kept at, will all play a role in how it grows back. Skinks with tails that have been recently broken off are not something that I would pay for. There are too many with good tails that are available. He is a good adoption canidate, not a good purchase.
