Possibly Parasites???

charky2002 Oct 24, 2004 05:13 PM

I have a young CWD here who just is not growing. I feed him as much as he will eat every day...which is alot but he still will not grow. I have also given him yogurt to help stimulate the production of healthy gut bacteria. The little guy is still quite active but just too small. It has been a few months and i'm still seeing barely any growth. All his food is gutloaded and supplemented he has UVA/UVB lighting...the whole works. Could he have parasites??

No way to know unless you take a fecal sample to the vet. My vet lets you just bring the fecal sample in and they will test it, for about $15. You only bring the animal in if she tests positive.

What do feed him and how often? What kind of setup do have for him. Can you post a picture?

Right now s/he is in a 33 gallon tall aquarium while I finish her permanent cage. I use a fogger to keep the humidity up and check the temps regularly and there fine. She has a nice big bowl to soak in and lots of places to climb. I will try to get a pic up later today
