hi every one. i just got my first jcp last sat after wanting one for a couple years now. heres a pic of her. i named her echo after the greek myth. but thats all besides the point i do have a question. everything iv read said there only partially arborial. but every time i look at echo, shes on her branch. i never ever see her on the ground except with shes drinking. so is it normal for some of them to be stay up in the "trees"? i kno with amazon tree boas every one thinks they live on the branches but truth be told quite a few of them including mine like to spend alot of time on the ground.
thanx every one.
nevin
ps please forgive the blurryness my camaras not that good

This question comes up a lot. I personally offer branches, cork bark perches, numerous ground level hide spots, and live plants. The answer is that each individual has different preferences. My current JCP is always resting on his cork bark which is mounted at the highest point in his cage. I've seen Jungles utilize evry spot in a cage if offered the diversity, thats why I choose a naturalistic enclosure as opposed to Vision cage with a stick and paper towel substrate. Not only that they awesome against a live plant background. Hope that helps.

well i have a rubbermade enclosure. but its very natural. bedabeast, bird perches, cork hides, and a nice water bowl. i go for the hole natural look also. i like it.
thanx

My 6 foot JCP is 50/50. She loves her hide boxes, esp at shedding times. And she also spends a great deal of time on her branches. She will 'hang out' even more when she is hungry waiting for a meal.
