Are they active snakes?

diablo28 Oct 25, 2004 01:21 AM

Hi, I have few questions about Carpets

I used to have California Kingsnake and Ball python.

My Cal King was really active snake and liked to move around his cage.

by contrast, my ball python was very inactive, and she usually spent her time in her shelter(half log).

how about carpets?

are they more like Cal Kings, or more like Balls?

Not to give a biology lesson but the snakes you are making comparisons between are not comparable. Both Ball Pythons and Carpets are nocturnal, which is why when you go to see them during the day they are inactive, Kinsnakes are diurnal, which is they are mostly active during daylight. Carpets are higly active once the lights go out as the same for Ball Pythons. Hope that helps.
