Damn. . .Don't Know What To Do?

turtlesong Oct 25, 2004 02:25 AM

One bullfrog is outgrowing the other female. I guess it's a female because it has smalller ears. It also has eaten in a week or so.

THe other male is eating like a horse. He pushes the female out of the way. Can't separate them now, as they get along good othewise. What should I do?

Separate them for feeding :P, can also try useing a tong and handing pinkies etc. Or you can put in sooo much food that there is no real competition and both get their fair share. (3rd idea isnt great cause most crix etc drown)

Thanks Jax. They're both eating now, and the female seems to be catching up. I throw a couple in there at a time. No pinkies yet. Will get some worms later and see what happens.

So far so good but. . .these guys/gals are a chore and I hope they just don't get too big.

What a hobby.

I would get a piece of plexiglass, and just temporarily split the tank in half while feeding, using it as a divider. Easy, fast, cheap, and effective.
