Very nice tort pen! I have one almost just like it my dad made me but mine is attached to a big base so that I can store things underneath. I was wondering how you clean the pen and how often? I wanted to put something on the bottom that my torts can burrow in but it would be really hard to try and get it all out of the bottom of the pen. Mine is too big to tip over and dump the old stuff out. Thanks!

Hi Becki,
Thanks. I usually just use some sort of dirt, like topsoil etc. In this I have mostly cypress mulch on one side, and a non-organic soil I dug up. Neither are deep enough for burrowing unfortunetly, but I do have areas were they can burrow, as well as a humid box which is very important.

...for you custom-made freaks (
) out there: why not accomodate a few shallow "trays" for your substrates/hide box/restaurant/spa/jaccusi...or what have you...the idea is made them in smaller sections with that ease-to-clean in mine (just basic common sense here
