...pinch yourself just to be sure it's really happening?? I mean you have to admit, your run of luck is awesome.
Great looking little guys.

I picked up a pair of Mexicans this year and now they're my favorite hognose. If you don't mind, I have a few questions.

How many did you hatch out? Was it difficult to get the parents to breed? What was the age/size of the parents?
I hope to breed my Mexicans next season or the year after.

Congratulations with your hatch. And good luck with the babies.

I just picked up a pair of Mexican Hogs.. cuties. I have had some problem with the male eating. Any suggestions? I have tried toad scented pinkie, tuna scented pinkie, and now toad scented live pinkie (we'll see if that works).

Thanks,

Will

I hatched out 2 clutches this year and was very male heavy. Some males didn't feed the first time they were offered food. However, they quickly gobbled up food right after that. What I do is place a thawed toad in front of their mouth. Once they open their mouth to eat, I remove it and place a scented pink there. They always take it.
