I am looking for one as well. I am looking for a high green coloration with as little orange as possible. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Peter

I have never heard anyone say that before. Anyway..even a young cbb baby male that is quite orange is somewhat likely to get more green with age. Also, it really should not be hard to find since you are looking for the majority. Anyway, Kelly Haller is the best breeder of murinus but I believe he is out of greens at the moment (he can respond for details). It should not be hard for you to go to a show and find one. Serpent Safari also bred one of their large female greens so I would try and contact them for details as well. They were the cheapest cbb babies I have ever seen and they had a bunch feeding on mice.

Yea, I have a group of "orange" colored murinus, some are WC and a few ar cb. I am reluctant to believe what some are calling cb. Many are wild caught gravid females or just wc. The only one I know for sure "as sure as I can be" is the female I purchased years ago from Peter Strimple. I believe he has moved over to the Gila breeding. Thanks for the response.

Was she out of the '85, '88, '90, or '98 litter. I am also curious as to her temperament. A very large percentage of the young Pete produced were quite docile. Jud has a pretty good example. Would also be interested to see photos of your high orange individuals. Thanks,

Kelly

This was from 98, and don't quote me but it could have been one of the Bronx Zoo breeding loans offspring (not sure). Not a bad disposition at all, reluctant to bite but I have been bit by her occasionaly. Not the best eater either. She has great body weight but her feeding response is only good with guinea pigs, hamsters, or birds. Birds initiate her best response. I will have to take pictures of some of my collection. Please let me know when some E. murinus are available by the way.

Your '98 Strimple female would be from a breeding between a female produced by Pete in 1985 and a male produced by him in 1990. What are the stats on your female? Thanks,

Kelly
