I'm so sad. I had just got 2 new baby dragons (about 6weeks old) 2 weeks ago. One of them I've had a hard time getting to eat and was a bit thiner then I liked. He looked like he was going to make it though. Yesterday he seemed perfectly fine and happy. Today he looked just terrible. I was considering taking him to the vet tomorrow and had I known he was that bad off I would have done it immediatly. His sibeling is doing great but its just so easy to blame yourself.. what if I this.. what if I that.. arg.. My only guess is perhaps he grabbed a mouth full of play sand. But that sure was fast if it was an impaction problem. I pulled the sand from the tank first thing this morning incase that was indeed the problem.. But too little too late. Just had to tell someone..

Hey, I've got a beardie that survived through a cat attack and huge mouth full of sand and if perfectly healthy and 3 months old right now so I doubt sand did it unless you dusted the food you gave him with it.

I'm very sorry for your loss. However, you shouldn't be too hard on yourself. In cases like this, a lot of the time a vet couldn't save it. Sometimes they hatch out as weak babies. You try & try, but still lose them. It does occasionally happen.
