Eye Problems - PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wsurugby10 Oct 25, 2004 03:07 PM

Hi I just bought two 3 month old beardies and I have a question about them. When the male is basking he has one eye open and one eye closed. Is something wrong? Temps are right. Humidity is right. He doesn't have mites. The female does it every once in awhile but I'm not sure why they do. If you could help that would be great. Thanks

I have never heard of or seen this being a problem. My female closes and opens her eyes at intervels to suit herself. Sometimes she closes one eye and looks at me, sometimes both eyes with her head back. As long as they are eating, basking (in temps between 95-110degrees) and moving normally and the eye doesnt appear to be discolored, discharging, or swollen i wouldnt worry about it.
