Turtle groups in NY?

bluebug32 Oct 25, 2004 03:08 PM

Hey,

Does anyone know of any turtle/reptile rescue groups in Upstate NY? I would love to get involved with something turtle related. I live in Dutchess County (between Albany and NYC on the Hudson). Thanks!

Beth

Look up the NYTTS (New York Turtle and Tortoise Society) and see if they have any members in your area.

It's GREAT that you are getting involved. I wish more folks in the reptile community would be more active.

From doing my own reptile rescue in PA, I recently found out about a NY Turtle Rescue called "Turtle Homes". It is listed under the "rescue links" page on my rescue's website, Forgotten Friend Reptile Sanctuary. . My rescue works with turtles too, but not quite as much or as exclusively as Turtle Homes. From what I've heard they're a great group.
