Question about feeding Lobster roaches?

carrottopsup Oct 25, 2004 07:13 PM

I have some Lobster roaches due to arrive in a couple of days. Someone said that they heard, that you are suppose to "only" feed the "nymphs" to beardies, is this true or can I feed the roach itself? My beardie is 14 inches long. Thanks!

Yeah, you can feed full grown beardies 4" hissing roaches with no problem. I've got a 3 month old that downs adults like crazy with no problem. The suggestion is to wait at least 2 weeks before you feed any off so they get comfortable in their new enviornment and begin to breed. Feeding the juvie nymphs will keep your new colony thriving. Most folks should feed full grown at first because they are your breeders. Hope this helps.
