Whoa now! Better stay in school!

You can brumate your snakes anytime now. To prepare them for brumation feed them a lot for a few weeks then stop feeding completely for 2 weeks. Then start lowering the temps, turn their suplemental heat off, and lower the ambient temps to about 55°F over the corse of a week or two. Make sure their cages are clean and their water is very clean and fresh. Leave them at this cooler temperature for 2-4 months. Then raise the ambient temps back up to the 70s over a week or two and add belly heat. They will be very hungry. If you plan on breeding the females, feed them like crazy.
