I have a jungle carpet python, 2 corns, a honduran milk and a new albino sonoran gopher.
I was thinking of getting something new and different...like some kind of boa maybe. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
Here are some guidelines I want to stay with...

under the 3-5 foot length

generally easy to find, like at a retile show, and not to expensive.

prefer one that can stand house temps (76-78ish) and can do without extra heating or lighting. (I've heard the black milks do ok with room temps. I don't want to overload my outlets.)

Is there any snakes that would meet these guidelines...thanks anyone.
Don't worry..I will research any suggestions.

As was suggested already, a Rubber Boa [Charina spp.] would be a good choice especially since they like it cooler. Another would be any species of Garter Snake. There are plenty of other snakes that like cooler ambient temps but will still want a warmer area for a basking spot, so you'll still need some type of heat source to give you a warmer spot in the cage. If you can afford to do that it really opens up some possibilities like Eastern Milksnakes, Fox Snakes, and more exotic and perhaps a little bigger than you were thinking of would be Argentine Boas - although they can be aggressive but they do like it somewhat cooler than other boa species found in South America.
