Hi all , I went on an off road motorcycle excursion from the 21st through the 25th in west Texas. We stayed at the Wildhorse Station. I was with 3 other NON herper people. I was able to cruise two nights from the Wildhorse to the Longhorn Motel a few times this trip. The area had alot of rain recently. I was told that they had 4 inches over the course of two days. You could tell there had been lots of rain there , there were new rock slides that came off the cuts and there were gulleys where the cuts met the ground. I saw only one adult Atrox. Live on the road near North County Road. Also one of my Non herper friends accidentally ran over a beautiful Coachwhip on the way into Terlingua Ranch. To motorcycle ride of course!!!! I also flipped a beautiful Coleonyx brevis. Everything is green there right now, I mean really green!! Next Spring should be an awesome collecting/photographing opportunity. Joe Forks, was that you parked at one of the cuts Fri or Sat night???
take care
