Im taking on my first graveyard shift here pretty soon, i got the call at 5pm and tried to go to bed but couldn't so here i sit waiting to go @1am, im hiped on coffee already and wondering who else has gone through this on their first different shift change? Like xmas morning. I work the floor at a casino and it will be slow this time of the morning which i don't mind as i am new to it.

I have been there with you man its hard to change shifts. Try rotating shifts they stink too. I worked a month one time on one day one swing one night then a day off then right back to day,swing, night. Oh that was rough. It was better than 24 hours on followed by 24 hours off though. You never get to recover from those. Good luck to you. It will take a few days for you to get into the swing of things but it will be fine.

I thought i was doing it for one night, the SM just found out im doing it for 3 and on thur AM when i get home @930 i have an interview at 11 and then the folks from Ore are due @3pm or so, what's sleep???? im getting up now from this morning and have 7 hours till i leave, but the shift was awsome. I had a crash course in casino floor hopper fills,payouts etc and getting things ready for the day shift and believe it or not it was interesting and made good tips with the 4 that were there all the time in and out and large payouts. This time it will be just me the security and the SM and i keep the tips as they can't accept any and it's kareoke night until midnight so i may get drifters from that. The music get funky and i get weird to keep everyone awake, im accutally liking this. WOOOt WHooot lol
