Ball python drooling

firenewt88 Oct 26, 2004 09:00 AM

My ball python is drooling and will not eat. I am going to force feed her a pinky today. What is wrong with her?

I would take her to a reptile vet if you have one near. Force feeding may only stress her out more and make the problem worse. What temps are you keeping, how old is she, how long have you had her, and when was the last time she ate? If she is drooling, that is not good. Vet trip required. Good luck.

How old is your snake and how long has she not been eating for??

My ball drools, and maybe this sounds wierd, but he has been doing it since he was a hatchling. He only does it when he is "happy" and is out and about but he has a clean bill of health from the vet.

Yours drooling and not eating makes me wonder if there is some kind of obstruction though. Take her to the vet asap.
