You should hold back any siblings for F1 breeding. If it is a recessive trait carried by the parents then you may get lucky again next year or the year after. If you throw another striped snake you may want to breed this years females to the father when they are old enough. Of course, when you get a few striped animals you can start breeding all the known het females to your best striped male. I quess its all elementary to some of the experienced breeders, but I thought this was a good thread for the discussion.

yeah nextyear is the same lineup w/some other females as well hope to get some more stripe(s),i heldback 1.2 of the stripe sibs as well as the stripe which is a male,for f1 breedings i hope to breed it true i know its been done in the past and even kinda brought calligaster back to the limelite for awhile in the 80's, i even remember seeing striped albino prarie's!, anyway its a cool lil project that kinda just happened, take it easy,,,,,,thomas
