Does anyone have any input on the best type of incubator to use? I see some are marketed as for use with reptiles, for the ability to reach lower temps than bird eggs.

It depends on how many eggs you want to do. Hovabators work well for most people with a pair or two of breeders. For larger scale I really like converting old pop coolers or refridgerators.
