Homer is hiding again...argh...

caredeocr Oct 26, 2004 02:14 PM

Homer is 5 months old, approx 14 inches long, eats great, his basking temp is 105, and has UVB. The problem is he has started hiding in his cage again. He comes out to eat normally but then goes and hides again. I had a fecal doen last week and it was negative. Should I get rid of the cave all together? I know he feels safe and secure in there but its not healthy because he isnt getting his UV or heat.

Also, he loves for me to pick him up and hold him. He falls asleep on my shirt a lot. But when I go to put him back in his tank, he hates it. He fights me and does everything in his power to climb up my arm and stay out of his tank. At first it was cute but now Im a little concerned....

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Chris

Sounds a lot like Brumation, do a google search on that word and learn more. He is a little young for it but every dragon is different.
