I went to this web page www.petcocruelty.com & found a
E-mail address for alerting Peta & petco themselves about improper conditions for reptiles & other animals. I received an e-mail back from the Director of Animal Care at petco & a peta rep asking for more input on the proper bedding, food, & other stuff like that. So far it looks like I'm getting some where with this.

Great! Keep going, PetCo deserves a major company education! Hopefully some of the employees will have to learn somthing about the animals. I know someone that works at petco and one of there Co-workers sucked up a hampster with the vacume cleaner I couldnt beleive it, Also they kill the sick animals by putting them in a plastic bag and wacking it against the wall, so horrible. All animals deserve better than petstores!

In defense to the local Petco in my area, Fair Oaks, Ca., they do a very good job with their animals. I havent bought too many from them, but the couple of saltwater fish I purchased were healthy and active. They have a beardie in there now that is around 10 weeks old and has everything it could ask for, heat, lighting, plenty of greens, fruit, dusted crickets, and water bowl he actually drinks out of. I was impressed compared to most pet shops I have been to. They also have a cool pet adoption program for unwanted pets.

I AGREE some pet stores do a good job. Even this one that I made the complaint about has some good thins going on. Just some other things need to be changed.
